Review: Zaap Thai Street Food

This is my second visit to Zaap Thai in Leeds and I love it! As soon I walk in, the familiar smells from when we went travelling come flooding back. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with lots of thai themed items hanging from the ceiling and on the walls. If you’re lucky enough you can also dine in an actual tuc tuc, no idea how you get this option, just luck I guess as there are only two! Fingers crossed for my next visit.

Unfortunately you can’t book but most of the time you can get sat down fairly quickly, there are plenty of bars close by if you do have to put your name down when you arrive.Β

There is so much to choose from on the menu and in my opinion it is really reasonably priced. For starters we ordered the following:

  • Japanese style fried dumpling with chicken and vegetable filling (17)
  • Chicken toast – marinated minced chicken sprinkled with sesame seeds, toasted (20)
  • Deep fried chicken and fish balls on skewers (7)
  • Japanese style fried dumpling with vegetable filling (22)

For main course we ordered:

  • Massaman curry (81)
  • Pad Mee (47)
  • Pad See Aew (48).

The food is all freshly cooked and arrives at your table in good time. Customer service is great, you can definitely be in and out within the hour, a perfect place to dine before a trip to the theatre, cinema etc.

For anyone who loves Thai food, give this place a try for yourself. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying something new!
